The only downside is that none of the mod's co-operative testing is present, which is a shame as I personally really like co-op testing, and would love to see something like this implemented into Portal 2. However, I would have liked to see the mod have some more unique mechanics that are new to portal 2, such as the portal mechanics that Thinking with Time Machine uses, and the idea of time travel.
I do not know what the quality level is for portal 2 mods, but the mods I have mentioned here are well made and I would recommend them to everyone. They are well balanced, and the story does not conflict with the main Portal 2 storyline, but are all their own thing.
As Mel, you are soon on a quest to find your way back to the surface of the earth. Along the way, you encounter many tests, several of them being quite challenging, though not impossible. Some of these are usually very cool tests, such as the 'Skulls of all Skulls' test, which involves you as the test subject placing a large skull onto a smaller skull. There is also the 'Dark Matter Vortex' test, in which you are in a tank, and the tank is covered in a dark matter that is slowly drawing you towards the large central circle in the room. There are also tests that are a little more difficult to get your head around, such as one that involves you as the test subject being free falling at the same time a big ball is being thrown at you. Once you manage to get back to the surface of the Earth, you must return to Virgil and he will tell you the final test.
Where does the mod stand in terms of quality?The mod is still in early stages, but it is currently at a good point, mostly due to the work of the mod's creator, Mel. Mel is a really talented, creative and friendly programmer, and it is a pleasure to see his work and his progress. He has put a lot of time and effort into the mod, and I am sure he will be happy with the finished product.
There are no plans for additional content that has not already been announced. The mod's author has already stated that he is not interested in making any more content for the mod, so we can expect no future content. This also includes any additional story elements that were previously planned for the mod. 827ec27edc
