Commentator voices can be easily changed there's usually not language errors you are playing in. I get why you say it's region locked in a sense but that's too much of a difficult issue to deal with and they could just do a straight english commentary for that region.
Good job EA, this is something you should have included by default since the game is already out of Beta. While I am no supporter of the hobby of region locking games but when there are options to do so it makes it harder for people to be able to access a game. I'm not even a gamer myself and only play Fifa a bit to remind myself how good of a game it is. I can honestly say I have never once seen a game that allow people from different regions to play the same game and commentate. They are region locked due to a licensing issue, but you could at least try to make it legal by providing options for language packs as thats how things are in real life. If you don't want to do that you should at least provide a way for people to reupload the files.
EA you have a very rich and amazing game that you sell for $100 bucks. You should not force people to buy the language pack instead of just providing more options to change the commentary. I mean it's not like it is $5 bucks or something. If you give up on that American/Euorpean, Arab and other custom commentary then the game will not become as bad as it is. I live in Canada so I can't will not pay $75 dollars to fix the problems I can already see with the game.
The only lang support is bad and cringe worthy when you watch it, thinking where do some of these comments come from. It's humorous if you know where to look that is. Once you see the advertising on the front page you can get those talking points out of you head a little better. Although I do see why they did it now EA does not limit it by time and year. We got lucky that there was never an World Cup.
When the FIFASite highlighted that Poland doesn't have commentary on an Andorran game, the binaries were patched, but not the commentary, making the Polish video player a black box. Please patch commentaries. I live in Poland and I want to listen to the commentaries in my own language. Don't try and be lazy and patch only the EXE. Please patch the subtitles too. Great job.
