The play has been performed in three versions: English, Telegu and Assamese. The English version was directed by Sujit Guha and produced by Wimal Rangnekar. The Telegu version was directed by S. Suresh Babu and produced by B. S. Ramakrishnan. The Assamese version was directed by Bongkodi Panta and produced by Shrikanta Kanungo with tapes by Jibon Banerjee. The film ran for more than 100 days in Kolkata and was a hit.[5][6][7]
Vijay Agnihotri directed the film in Hindi. Its story was written by Abhishek Sharma and Sukanya Verma.
