Pink Floyd was composed of vocalist and keyboardist David Gilmour (1965–present), guitarist and harmonica player Roger Waters (born Reginald Kenneth Dwight; 1963–present), bass guitarist and backing vocalist Roger Daltrey (born 6 November 1945, Woodside, New South Wales, Australia), and drummer Nick Mason (born Nicholas John Mason; 1948–present). Pink Floyd came to worldwide prominence with their 1970 album The Dark Side of the Moon, which developed a cult following among musicians and non-musicians alike. They followed it with 1971's Meddle and 1972's Atom Heart Mother, both of which were commercially less successful. The band then entered a period of creative and commercial stagnation, although they released The Endless River in 2014 and the double album The Final Cut in 2017.
