Plugging the device into a computer with an available COM port, a serial cable, and a functioning serial port driver should be all the information required to get started. I was able to get the device working with a Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Mac OS X computer. When connected the device will go through the initial bootup process before the screen on the device loads up the operating system.
To connect the unit to a projector, simply connect the supplied power cables to the projector, then connect the RJ-45 Ethernet cable to the unit. Follow the on-screen prompts to set up your projector.

Another great feature of this unit is its ability to turn display technology off after a specified amount of time passes in which no video signal is detected. Which then triggers the second relay port to switch either the window shade or projector screen up.
